Hi Kari,
If you are the designated author for a Participants Congregations page (which you are) you can modify your Congregation page and upload pictures or videos.
To upload videos, pictures, or otherwise add to your Participating Congregations page:
1) go to the https://uto.stjamestempe.org website
2) log in to the site by clicking on the ‘Login’ menu item in the upper right side of the page
3) go to your Participating Congregations page
4) in the banner at the top of the page it says ‘Edit Post’. Click on this.
5) We use WordPress so you can edit the page using the WordPress editor. To add information to the page move to where you want to add the material and then press the ‘+’ symbol on the right of the page, then chose the block for the type of information. For the most common information types:
- To add text choose the ‘Paragraph’ block, then enter the test.
- To add pictures you can choose the ‘Advanced Gallery’, ‘Gallery’ or ‘Image’ block. Then use the ‘Upload’ button to upload the image(s) to the website.
- To add a video you can either embed a YouTube video using the YouTube block, or add picture(s) using the Advanced Gallery, Gallery or Image blocks. The YouTube block requires that the video already be up on on YouTube. The image blocks have an Upload button that allows you to upload the picture(s) to our website
You can find more information if you look up WordPress editing.
Hope that helps,
NickHi Kari,
No problem. There are still a couple of solutions for larger videos:
1) If your church has a YouTube page you can upload the video there, and then you can use the YouTube block to embed a link to the video on you Congregation page.
2) Send Mary or me an email (see links at the bottom of the home page) and we can share a drop box folder where you can upload the video. We may end up uploading the video to our YouTube page and embedding a YouTube link from there on your congregation page. Thanks,
Nick -
