Tagged: Playback Audio
If you make a recording onto the Mevo SD card you can play it back by going to the Library page. If you play it on an Android device (Mevo App version 2.2.12) you can’t hear the audio, but if you play back on an iOS device (Mevo App version 2.3) you can hear it.
When you start the Mevo App on your device it mutes the speaker to avoid getting feedback during recording. The green bars show the audio recording levels so you can see that you are recording audio, but you won’t hear it because the speaker is muted. After you have made the recording you can go to the Library page and review your recording. If you have an iOS device the Mevo App is smart enough to unmute your speaker, so you can hear the playback. Unfortunately the Android version of the app is not as smart yet and does not unmute your speaker automatically, however you can manually unmute your speaker by using the volume buttons on the side of your device to increase the volume level.
On both Android and iOS devices the speaker will be automatically muted again as soon as you leave the Library page.
If you go into the audio mixer page you can see in the upper right that the speaker audio is muted (the little speaker symbol with a diagonal line through it), and you can unmute it by pressing on the muted speaker symbol. While this will fix the playback problem for Android devices by leaving the speaker unmuted all of the time, it can also cause audio feedback. It is not recommended that you unmute the speaker in the audio mixer page on any device unless you are using headphones, to avoid the possibility of feedback.
